Okay, I'll admit it. I picked this one up because of the cover. But I stayed because of well drawn characters and an engaging and entertaining relationship. It is very much a "lights out" romance, and the occasionally broadly drawn characters and plot points land it squarely in Romantic Comedy land. It is sweet, heartfelt, and has some beautiful messages about finding your own agency and learning to trust and open yourself to human connection. Plus, the heroine has an obsession with a Self-Help book (not that I can identify with that in the least...........)

I am definitely looking forward to spending more time in St. Clair and reading the rest of the series!
