Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates

hopeful informative reflective sad medium-paced

5.0

Written as a letter from father to son-  so beautifully written and centering his expereinces as a Black man in the US and what experiences his son will share and be different

Intimate, poetic, critical, reflextive, and so much more

Coates does an amazing job weaving the development of his political consciousness - this book differs a lot in tonality compared to his journalism work
