The movie is my “things you would take to a deserted island” movie. I’ve been wanting to read the book, so I finally did.

This book is deliciously weird. I laughed. I fidgeted. I yawned. I laughed. William Goldman must have had ADHD, because it was like a squirrel wrote satire with a dry sense of humor. (This is a compliment.) (ps I feel like I’m writing the review in the style of the book. It’s overtaking me. It’s freshly finished and maybe will grow to a full 5 star after marinating for a bit.)

What YOU need to know…
- There is no Morgenstern
- This is Meta-fiction
- You’ll be doubting your sanity throughout this book
- You will meet Steven King in this book. Yes. Truly.

So if you don’t like the movie, go away.
If you like the movie and think you’d read a squirrel’s novel, what are you waiting for?

Note: I read the edition with the blue cover (the 30th anniversary edition I believe)

Note on the note: I repeat. There is no “original.” People who give 1 star reviews for this type of thing need to have their privledges revoked.
