I did like this book but it felt a little less tight than the previous two in the series. Still loved it though! Especially love Shallan and her internal journey.

Second time reading: okay once again this improved on a reread. I can’t quite give it 5 stars because it did drag through the middle, but dear god there is some incredible stuff in here. The end battle scene takes a reread to fully appreciate, it bounces back and forth so much, but it’s so incredibly good. Also the depictions of Dalinar, Shallan, and Kaladin’s mental health struggles are all really well done. I also have a new found appreciation for Adolin after rereading this, his mental strength is truly incredible.
