The Baby Dragon Cafe is cute, straightforward, if not a little simplistic. I think that's probably a lot of the appeal of a cozy read. It's comfortable and easy with no high stakes.

This was indeed an easy read but I didn't feel particularly invested in the characters or their storyline. I don't think a romance needs high conflict to achieve that and I can't exactly put my finger on why I felt so ambivalent. I liked the characters well enough and the baby dragon was very cute but perhaps I didn't really feel like I got to known them beyond what they are at the surface.

I also would have really loved if this book had leaned a little more into the magical and fantastical beyond dragons exist and some people have them and some people don't. I wanted this town full of dragons to feel more out there than your average small town.

I thought this was a nice read and it definitely has its cozy appeal that I think people will enjoy.
