Awww, I just finished this book and sweet cheese and buttermilk, I'm sort of feeling some bereavement over the fact it's over. Very strong storyline and characters.
I'll tell you when you know you have a good book on your hands...you know when something happens and it doesn't really advance the story very much and you think "well, we could have lived without that"? There were a few of those instances in this book BUT, I was so glad to spend more time watching these two fight the odds to come together that I actually enjoyed the "extras"! Anything to stretch out the book was fine with me. Those extras truly helped me feel like I was able to get to know Gage and Cassidy beetter, and I was more than ok with that.
This was a very well written story and I loved every minute of it! Very well worth the wait and very much a statement that Taking Chances was just the first of what proves to be many excellent novels from McAdams! VERY excited to see what else she writes, I'll be pre-ordering, just like I did this one!
