After reading Little Women earlier this year, I found out that there is an entire serie of 4 books based on the original characters.

Now, since I'm a freak with lists I decided to read all the books in the serie and check em off my list. This can be both a good thing and a bad thing...

This book is very different than Little Women, the writing feels different and not in a good way. Sadly I'm comparing all the books in the series with Little Women and I know its an unfair comparison but it cant be helped.

The book tries to tell us what happens next to Jo, but its actually not about Jo, but about a bunch of kids.

There are many good insights in the book and I like how it pushes forward the idea that mixed gender education is very beneficial for both boys and girls(at a time when this was out of question).
It also tries to send a lot of positive messages but at many times in a kind of forced/moralizing way which I found annoying.
There are also some very strong opinions expressed by the author in the book which I dont agree with.

Anyway, only 1 book left in the series, Jo's Boys.
