"In a world where you can choose anger or empathy, always choose empathy."

Abby Jimenez is a true gem of the book world. And with each new title she releases, I find new characters to fall in love with. There's just something so inherently relaxing about reading her books, yet she always manages to teach me something new about myself and the people I love. Do you have a favorite from Abby Jimenez?

Just for the Summer was no different from all her other books (Part of Your World is still my favorite, btw), and I loved every minute spent listening to the audio. But my only hiccup with JFTS is that I may have loved the MMC, Justin, a little too much. What do I mean by that? Well, I loved him so much that I actually *wished* that Emma and he would not end up together. But why??? She was not good enough (and a smidge too selfish) for him. While I understand she had a lot going on and displayed quite a bit of character growth, it wasn't enough to change my feelings about her. And that is totally a me thing, and I can't help it!

Just for the Summer could be read as a standalone, but reading the other two books ( Part of Your World and Yours Truly) will give you some character backstory!
