Can you tell I've been in a YA Fantasy mood recently..?
Okay here's the thing: this book is INCREDIBLY slow. BUT if it were to get a grade in school, it would get a B (70%).
The characters were very well written (contrary to Clary and Jace in the original series (do not read that series unless you're 12 yros, its made for 12 yros), The Mortal Instruments). They had really throughful and kind relationships between eachother. And, Texxas, the main character, acts in a way that is understandable and relatable to the reader.
So yeah, it was a little plotless for the majority of it. It kind of felt like a 480 page prologue lol BUT the speed of the pace at the was SO exciting and fun.
All in all, I will be reading the next two books in this series BUT if you're only going to read one Cassandra Clare series, read the Dark Artifices. :)))))))
