Had to skim the end because it was carrying on a bit but also I had book club to finish this for!! I really, really enjoyed this. I loved egg, I loved Isaac’s love for Mary, I loved the humour throughout a tough plot. I pictured egg so vividly so good on Bobby for that. Would read his next book but bravo for a debut like this! Glad this was my first read of the year. Quirky and lovable.
