13 Treasures by Michelle Harrison
2.0
This book was okay. 2.5 stars.
The Writing was good with descriptions, but the plot was slow and not much happened until late in the book.
Morwenna getting her 50 years all at once to become a haggard, coarse white haired hag with blackened teeth. 64 years old. Chill.
You didn’t get to know the main character Tanya well, to empathize with her, nor the idiot grandmother, who played a 1% role.
Made me mad that the sparkly bracelet was the 13 treasures, the name of the book, and yet no pay off. In a euphemism: the gun planted in the first act has to go off.
Potential but nit fully realized. Don’t want to continue to the sequels.
