Pyramids by Terry Pratchett

The 7th iteration of the Discworld series is pretty much a standalone novel. The story follows a called Teppic who is a prince of kingdom who see their kings as gods. Teppic goes to an Assassin school as he wants to learn something of value. The book follows Teppic on an adventure to save his kingdom with inter-dimensional travel.

I feel like this was the weakest iteration within the Discworld series as it had no apparent direction for the story. What I mean by this is there is no clear conclusion or what the drive for each of the characters. While reading the book I kept thinking to myself 'I know what is going on but why'. I felt like there was no explanation within the story.

The one thing I did like how Terry Pratchett added complex mathematics and scientific equation in a convoluted way to fit the narrative of the story.
