This book answered a lot of questions...and created more. My biggest question for this series is "how will it end?!" Happy for Madison I hope but jeez these books are dark and I just don't know which way book three will swing: good or bad.
Just like The Silver Swan, The Broken Puppet is another dark and addictive read that kept me engaged from page one. In this one though there's more sparks of romance popping out. By the end there is a kinda happy ending in sight for the next book..I think. I feel less scared for Madison in this one for sure.
The reason it is a 4 star and not a 5 one is because I felt like this book had a lot more filler in it. Book 1 started the mystery and 3 will conclude it. This one just makes more questions arise. I felt a lot more of the plot was thrown in as a new ideas emerged for the author and at times, I felt like it wasn't needed (i.e.: her new family member). Either way the book was still fantastic and I can't wait to see how the series ends!
