A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab
5.0
adventurous dark emotional tense fast-paced

*mild spoilers* This was an epic conclusion to the series! This picks up right where book 2 left off, and I’m glad for it because that cliffhanger was crazy. I think my favorite part of this book was getting Holland’s backstory and then  seeing how everything unfolds with him. His story is incredibly heartbreaking, and while it never excuses the things he’s done you can see how he ended up where he did. I think his history was woven beautifully into the story because you get it in small pieces as the book progresses, so you find yourself gaining more and more sympathy for him. He is just my favorite type of morally gray character! Obviously the relationships were an amazing slow burn. I absolutely adore both main couples, but the friendships stole my heart! Kell and Rhy’s bond knows no bounds. Also, Alucard and Lila’s friendship? So funny! And I need to add the entire Kell/Lila/Holland dynamic in here because it was soooo much fun having them all on page working together. These characters are just written so well! Seriously an amazing conclusion. I can’t wait to continue with the new series!
