Emily Wilde has broken my no-5 streak !!!! I love her dearly. She starts out as such a curious, mousy, nerdy character and by the end of the book I just adore every perfect and  imperfect thing about her.
I'd follow her to Faerie and back even if it nearly killed me!!
Besides that, all the other characters grew on me too, especially our boy Wendell who I thought was an annoying prick at the beginning so applause to that journey because I'm obsessed with this man now. By the end, I just wanted to have all of the char cters in my big found family. I'm a character reader so clearly this book is a perfect fit for me. But, besides that, Emily's POV writing is so charming and engaging. The plot, while more character than plot driven, still has several exciting twists, turns, and surprises that kept me engaged. It had a lovely ending that wrapped up this story well while leaving more to explore in another book. Simply wonderful. No notes. A beautiful read.
