Truly outstanding. The Crescent City Series is some of SJM’s best writing, and this book is no exception. It does drag a bit in parts. Ithan and Hypaxia’s storylines in particular were laborious to get through, which was a shame because I personally really enjoyed those characters is previous books. Hopefully we’ll get more of them in the next book to sort it out, but overall, this book was outstanding. Twists and surprises at every turn, heart wrenching emotional moments, heart attack level suspense, and a beautiful ending. SJM delivers again.
