I was really excited to read this book as the premise was so unique and had me intrigued.
However, this story was extremely confusing. The writing had me going back to reread passages and it’s not the same plot that is given in the synopsis. The perspectives and plot were difficult to follow. The whole magik system is not anything I’ve read before and therefore could’ve been useful to add more explanation about what exactly “telluric elements” were.
This book had a lot of promise.
