I found this book long and really struggled to finish it. I only kept reading for Opaline's story it was what kept me drawn in. Martha and Henry I found rather boring to be honest. Henry was supposed to be on this great search for a manuscript and lost bookshop but it seemed to focus more on his love life. As for Martha I'm not even sure what her point in the story was other than Mrs. Bowden obviously being an aparation of Opaline and the Bronte sisters lost manuscript being tattooed on her back.
I feel like the story could have easily succeeded without Henry's storyline and delving more into Martha's history and Opaline's family secrets and how it was interconnected.
