An SK classic, full of suspense and horror, so I can't complain. His ideas and stories are always fantastic in the world of horror, even if it did include those SK ever-present features that I dislike (i.e. racism which is always unnecessary & adds nothing to the plot, minor mention of rape, rambling, bad jokes).
Those features plus the fact that it got a bit slow in the middle, so it took me awhile to get through, stop me from giving it a 4 - but once it picked up, it really picked up. I forgive the slowness a bit, because it did help you get in the mindset of what it was like for the main character day by day.

Graphic: Death, Violence, Medical trauma, Murder, Injury/Injury detail, Mental illness, and Self harm
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts
Minor: Rape and Vomit
