Rachel's story provides a fascinating look into life in the FLDS church...and the strength it takes to leave. Her story is both heartbreaking and inspiring, horrifying and heartwarming, and she wrote it well. It is definitely worth a read or a listen, especially if you have an interest in cults or the FLDS. (The audiobook is read by the author, which is my favorite for memoirs, and is pretty well done.)
(Sidenote: I'm not sure it's possible for me to rate a memoir below 3 stars, I'm realizing. There's something powerful about people sharing their story that overrides my dumb preferences and pickiness.)
