This is a solid police procedural set in Colorado with Deputy Mattie Cobb and her k-9 partner Robo. I enjoyed the characters and look forward to reading more.
I deducted 2 stars for weird sexist comments that I notated. In fairness it was written in 2015 and things have changed. For example Mattie observed of her work colleague “Stella looked the perfect mix of professional and sexy.” No. Just no.
