I gave this book four stars only because i didn’t love it but I did like and enjoy it. I found it to be engaging and easy to read with some disturbing parts, honestly. I feel like the abuse in the story is never really resolved outside of the mother’s actions. Lots of cliffhangers in that regard. Is there guilt? Is there worry? Concern? How do the characters feel about their actions? Maybe this is something I would have to find out by watching a one on one with the author! Overall, very good.
