I feel so bad because I flew through the first two volumes of Guardian so quickly but for some reason this one was just so difficult for me to get through. I definitely think it was a me issue. I think if maybe I was a little more familiar with Chinese Mythology I would have enjoyed this more. It's just so much of this book had be confused what was even happening 😭 I'm sorry Priest, I promise I will still read your other books!

I did really enjoy some of the extras though! Especially the one with Shen San and Wei aka how he got his name Shen Wei! Ugh that was so cute and a just the right amount of angst and bittersweetness I loved it
