The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks

Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.

I would love to manage to finish this book, but god is it boring. It has some ups, where I wanted to know what happened, but it's so packed with things I don't care about. It's technically well-written, but there are a few very long sentences and some info-dump I didn't particularly care for. 

Also, the one thing that makes this a really bad book is the fact that there isn't even one woman. Not a single female character. I dont know if there would be one, but that wouldn't help it. I know it was written in '77, but please, women excited then.
