Tell Me Everything by Elizabeth Strout
2.0

My expectations and the content of this book did not match. Instead of the murder mystery the book starts with looong descriptions of weather, old uninteresting towns and equally old people. It has a strong US point of view (e.g. driving somewhere to go for a short walk) and constantly repeats itself (e.g. Lucy thinks "Bob looks tired." Lucy says "Bob looks tired."). Also all people in this book seem incredibly rude to me and always simpy tell what is on their mind, not respecting anybody's privacy. Maybe this is supposed to be a point of the book and I missed it, but to me it felt like listening to a distant family member older than my grandma ramble about stuff they heard from a neighbor.
