Undeniably Infatuated by J. Saman
4.5
And yet another hit from Ms. Julie Saman! I think I mentioned this in my review of Undeniable Forbidden, but it just holds true. While this book can 100% be read as a standalone, it is a second-generation book, and the way Julie throws little callbacks to the parents' books is just perfect. It's something you won't necessarily see without reading the other books, but you don't need the other books to understand what is happening in the story. This is just one of those things that's fun for her long-time readers. Or something for you to go back and discover for yourself because you are 100% missing out by not reading her other books (they are fantastic).
Stone is Tinsley's ex-boyfriend's older brother, and neither of them had ever looked at the other as anything other than what they were to each other, until they didn't. Trying to escape the chaos of her overscheduled life, Tinsley runs off to the only place she can think no one will come looking for her: Stone's boat. Unbeknownst to her, Stone is looking for his own refuge. Ten days on a boat together shouldn't be a problem, but close quarters make it hard to ignore what's growing between them. Back on land, life goes on as normal, easy to avoid each other until Tinsley's past comes back to haunt her, and keeping her safe means living together again. They might know being together is wrong, but will that stop them?
If you're in the mood for steamy, forbidden romance, look no further. This is the book for you! Tinsley and Stone have some seriously undeniable chemistry (pun intended). I was seriously nervous about how the brother's ex-girlfriend part was going to play out, but honestly, I loved how it did. I thought it was going to go one way (one I really didn't want it to go), but it ended up going in a different direction, and I really appreciated that. The tropes of this story worked really well together, creating an intricate story that I was invested in. I like the little suspense subplot and the direction that took, and I loved seeing all the characters I've come to love from previous books. I'm already very excited for the next one and can't wait to see where it goes.
✔️ Billionaire Hero
✔️ Celebrity Heroine
✔️ Ex-boyfriend's Brother
✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Forbidden
✔️ Secret Relationship
✔️ Reformed Playboy
✔️ Grumpy/Sunshine
✔️ First Person Dual POV
*I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
