This is a downgrade from the Dragon’s Bride. The two main characters don’t really have any chemistry and while I get it’s a monster romance, last time I checked romance involved more than just smut scene after smut scene. Oh she’s nearly died? Give her orgasms. Oh I don’t like her? Give her orgasms. I just failed to see any connection between them. 

I’d seen the content warnings for the last part of the book but it just felt very strange to add so much emotional tension when there hadn’t been any before??

Ramanu is the only reason why this isn’t 1 star, I liked them.
