Dramatic, easy to turn the pages, and exactly what I needed when I picked it up. It works really well as a kind of bridge out of a romance rut I was in where everything felt too same-y.
The mfc is fairly unique to my experience and despite some quantity of decent smut it reads more as a mystery/thriller.
Honestly I would have given this book a 4 except I really felt the mmc was underdeveloped and I thought him being Italian and constantly peppering in his language was unnecessary and read too much like mafia Romance I wanted to move away from.
A quite horrifying element to the big twist!
