It would probably have helped to have read 2-4 in this series. Oh well.

Even if I'd read the intervening installments, after reading 1 and 5 I think it's safe to say that this series just isn't for me. I appreciate all of the literary references and I like the idea of the BookWorld, but I found both books alternately tedious and irritating.
