Loved the original trilogy, but didn't connect as well with this one. The pacing was slow, with a very, very long action/intrigue scene in the middle that dragged. The overall plot was interesting, and despite some juvenile stuff leftover from the first series, I still mainly liked the characters. But the ending was also disappointing to me. It felt muddled and full of inconsistencies, with some very crucial details glossed over. At some points during this book I consiered that it might end up a five-star read, but too many things irked me and despite some great sequences it was overall less than I was hoping for.
