In the 2nd book we see things get darker, more violent, and twisted - yet there's still something so addictive about these characters. We all crave redemption in stories like these and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel until close to the end of this one. Thankfully we do get to see Story get her revenge, but at what cost to herself... talk about emotional whiplash. My heart hurt for her the most in one particular scene more than the others.
These authors are definitely doing something right to provoke so many thoughts and discussions out of us who are reading these books. These rough, raw, boundary pushing moments are taking us on a wild ride with Story and the Lords.
