First of all, what the hell was that ending I am so mad, someone hand me the next book.

It took me a hot second to get /into/ this book but once I did, I fell in love.  Muir has a really fun way of writing that is both beautiful descriptive and intrinsically encapsulates the personalities of the characters and how they view things.

For example, this quote (no spoilers):

The wall was already feeling pretty sorry for itself, and at this last insult it gave up entirely and collapsed, with a terrific rumble and crash of rock and brick and bursting glass slumping outward onto the garden terrace.

It's .... just a wall. But it perfectly describes the mood of the scene and the way the main character is experiencing the world around her. I love that this is the first book I've read in a while that actually had me looking up words that I didn't know (not in a bad way!) while also staying true to the character's dialogue (both internal and external). It's definitely been one of my favorite reads so far this year!
