UnWholly by Neal Shusterman
5.0
I was a bit worried about this book because Unwind was not originally supposed to be a trilogy. I hoped that Shusterman had some really cool ideas about continuing the story and was not just reacting to the dystopia craze in teen lit right now.
I had no reason to worry. This was riveting. I really loved how Shusterman included propaganda for unwinding in the narrative. That really added to the ambiance of the book. There are also snippets of actual articles about teenagers that make the concept of this book seem almost possible. Scary!
There were some parts that were so ominous that I had trouble reading them. Unwind was a dark book, but Unwholly takes it even further.
Highly recommended sequel! This is my favorite teen dystopian series.
As an aside - are teen authors competing for the most ridiculous titles? Fantastic book, but Unwholly, really?
