Wow… so much stuff happened in this book but it never felt bloated or superfluous.

Rowan reminded me a lot of Geralt of Rivia so I wonder if SJM was planning on having him be a protective/pseudo-father figure for Aelin instead of mates when she was writing this? And was laying the groundwork for an Aedion love story?
