Desperate Measures by Katee Robert
3.75

Wasn’t my favorite book ever but I still had fun. Jasmine was my favorite out of the couple—despite her father trying her best to control her for so many years, she remained independent all those years just waiting for the chance to gain freedom. I especially liked her being interested in hacking, it made sense given how everything in her life was so tightly controlled and she needed ways to get around that.

That’s not to say there wasn’t some things about Jafar I liked, mostly that he understood Jasmine’s need for freedom and remembering things that she loved
(I even found the scene where he remembered that she was interested in Meg sweet, I know that’s weird😅)

And the plot? The plot was okay🤷‍♀️ Ali didn’t appear much so he didn’t seem like too credible of a threat but I love that despite being kidnapped, Jasmine took him down herself lol

I originally got into this whole thing because I read Wicked Pursuit which is a 2nd gen book based off The Beast so I think I’m ready to dive head first into Wicked Villains and explore what Carver City has to offer.
