I loved this so much! I usually do not do well with books older than 1980, but I found this so easy to read and actually funny and interesting and super intriguing. it wasn't scary but it was so good. I have so many thoughts I want to write a literature analysis paper. Also this is perhaps the queerest book Shirley Jackson could have written in the 1950s and I love that for her.
Moderate: Blood
Minor: Suicide and Car accident
