Second Chance Summer by Jill Shalvis
5.0
As always with book by Jill Shalvis, I have a hard time putting it down once I start. She has a way of engaging the reader right from the start. And the hodgepodge nature of the Kincaid family made me want to know more about them.
I think I may have said it before, but I'll say it again: if people would just talk to each other honestly there would be no such thing as romance novels and movies. But what fun would that be? Lily's commitment to her sister, even in death, is commendable. And no matter how many times people tried to tell her how she should feel or what she should do, it was all something she had to come to on her own. I felt that Aidan was good at giving her the space she needed without really leaving her alone. Even if that pissed her off, it's what she needed.
The story of Aidan and Lily was really sweet and actually quite innocent. Like I said above, his whole family really somewhat fascinated me and I am looking forward to learning more about them.
