"Writer writes about publishing industry" is a genre I enjoy. They're almost always horror stories, too, it's great. I felt uncomfortable the entire time and I loved it.

"She was mortal after all, they're thinking. She was just like us. And in destroying her, we create an audience; we create moral authority for ourselves."

^ I need to journal about this quote because if you know, you know. "Worst person you know makes a great point," only in this case it's, "worst person you know has a relatable experience."

I'd recommend this to a friend once I know their taste, sense of humor, and politics pretty well.
