Book Lovers by Emily Henry
5.0
emily henry is such a gift to have as an author. i don’t know how she does it, but it feels like every book she writes is for me, about me, or reflects some part of me. i have never struggled to find myself in an emily henry novel. her characters are so relatable and easy to empathize with that you’re never feeling disconnected from the story. i love nora and charlie so much. their relationship from the start was just so real and effortless. their 3rd act conflict barely felt like a conflict! because it was //realistic// and honest and so mature. i love the way they understand each other. it’s so tender the way they share parts of themselves and care for one another. their history (both apart and separate) makes their reunion stronger, fiercer, more worth the wait. they are. obsessed with each other. and rightfully so! i love them so much. besides the romance being top notch (and quite possibly my fave romance of the big 3???), emily henry once again is not afraid to tackle serious conversations. book lovers talks about family dynamics, financial burden, and death of a loved one. it was able to give us such a beautiful romance while respecting personal and family trauma. i always have eye opening experiences when i read emily henry’s writing because it makes me realize that im not as alone in what im feeling. i feel like a better and a new person because of it. thank you for my life, emily henry.
