As an adaptation of a relatively wordy book, it surprisingly cuts down a lot of the fluff. Sometimes it IS better to see pictures instead of a wordsmith try to convey actions via words.
But to recap, there's only so many ways a person can be "smart" and while the Elon Musk lookalike (thanks Ahsoka on D+ for making that image stick in my mind) is brilliant as far as outmaneuvering and outplaying his opponent (with the added bonus of actual caring of lives lost), his social graces are not that great since people are sadly, irrational as heck.
On the other end of the spectrum is Arindha Price...the Cate Blanchet lookalike (seriously, how does she look exactly like she did in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?) who is great at social climbing, but as it implies, is willing to step on as many lives as she can to get to her goals.
Great seeing how these two ambitious a-holes rise to power so that they're where they are by the time they're introduced in Rebels.
