I read the first three chapters and by then it was obvious this was just a BBC's Sherlock fanfiction. I'm a huge fan of fanfic but I was here to read an original story (or an original take on the Sherlock Holmes story, at least) - to be honest I'm surprised this could legally get published, but then I'm no expert in copyright law.

I also saw some other reviews that mentioned that the LGBTIQA+ representation in this book was disappointing/problematic, and just knowing that was enough to put me off continuing.
