City of Illusion by Victoria Ying

adventurous inspiring tense fast-paced

4.25

The second in a graphic novel series written by Victoria Ying, this story is full of adventure and excitement. Hannah and Ever are drawn into a story much bigger than themselves of finding unity and peace between cities and peoples. They learn about working together, courage, forgiveness, and joy through the dips and turns of this adventure.

Age-appropriateness: 9-12 yrs.
As a graphic novel that includes themes which can be discussed, this could be used as a whole-class book to go through. Several students may also enjoy it for independent reading if they like stories full of fantasy and adventure.
