It took me a while to enter in "Starling House", i didn't think the first 100 pages were really appealing...But then the mistery grew wilder and more gothic, the main characters collided in a compelling and passionate way and the narrative grew in a addictive and rogue way. It still has some flaws: i wished Arthur was a more developed characther and i really didn't like or even  understand the purpose of the character Baine. And i kind of guessed the end.
But in the end, "Starling House" is a powerful and entincing "female rage" narrative, that flows like a gothic fantasy, deep in booth melancholy and dream.
