Little Lies by H. Hunting

I liked this way more than I thought I would.

The angst and slowburn are done so well in this book. Lavender and Kodiak barely have an normal conversations 70% into the story. The tension between them was so damm good. They are soulmates, but those huge feelings were too much for them as children and turned their bond destructive and toxic. Seeing them struggle and grow through the book to get back together was just so good. There are so many emotions and feelings, plus the whole anxiety aspect just adds another layer. Also, Kodiak does some fun groveling, which is always appreciated.

But, I was very overwhelmed by the families. I know this is a spin-off from their parents' books, but all those family members were just too much to keep track of. It was confusing for someone who had no idea who was who. Also, their relationship just kinda started abruptly. I wanted a bit more of them being friends and getting to know each other again before they became a couple. The ending was a bit too long for me, but I did really like them together being cute and stuff.
Anyway, I think I will read this author/ series more. It was fun.
