I knew I was going to love this book before I read it, and of course, I did. Getting to know Locke better, changing perspectives between Orla, Locke, and Nash, learning more about Nash's background and seeing all three of them together so perfectly happy was just a delight. I loved Willow's character and what a bright ball of sunshine she was for Locke. The heavy story of how Locke suffered before becoming a King was so heart wrenching and having both Nash and Orla showed their love through their unending support of him and his daughter was everything. The only reason this isn't getting a full five stars for me is because I spent the ENTIRE book, every sweet moment, waiting for something terrible to happen. Little did I know, this is the first Rebel Kings book that ends on a cliffhanger! So I could have just chilled out and enjoyed. And I did enjoy it! I loved the inclusions of Logan, the mentions of Remy and the special experience Saint gives to Willow by arranging a jam session with his brother. All of the little nods to other Garrett Leigh books were a treat!
