I've never been a big fan of academic rivals to lovers because I feel like they stay the same but occasionally kiss.
I won't lie. The romance felt...like it was out of left field. I knew it was coming and I still felt like it didn't feel right. I wonder if it's because book was a shorter read. Had it been longer maybe it would have had more romantic development.
I did really enjoy Sadie's family situation and how she is starting to learn it isn't her fault. But this book did feel just a little rushed. A good quick read and something to cleanse the pallete from high fantasy or romantasy books.
