Uprooted by Naomi Novik

With the surrounding hype, I started this book thinking it would have been overhyped. After starting it, however, I realized that this book deserved the Hype. It's spellbinding and weaves a picture with its words. The world building was superb. There was no love triangle. The supporting characters are amazing. The story told in Uprooted was something familiar, yet strange. It pulled me along like a river and dragged me into its pages like a current pulling me along.
