It by Stephen King
5.0

Finished "IT"...! And, it was AMAZING.
I am definately becoming a huge fan of Stephen Kings works. I've read three novel (The Shining, Doctor Sleep, and IT) and a few shorts, and everyone has been so good! This is definately a 5 star read, and I'm struggling to think whihc I prefer between this and The Shining...!? (Probably this one to be honest...)
Yes, I agree that this book is a massively long tale, with a ton of character building. But, I found all that stuff the most interesting part of the book. The constant switching between the characters as Children and Adults was expertly done, and by the end of teh book I was so sad to see them all go their own ways, and to forget each other all over again. Made me feel genuienly upset, and gave me chills.
(Oh, and those that say King can't write a good ending are very wrong!)
There were only a couple of chapters I felt weren't really needed, such as a lot of the town distruction towards the end, and that "group sex chapter" which was all very "odd". But, other than that it was such an amazing book, and I can't recommend it enough.
Also, as a fan of the movie it was good to see how different this story was, and the way it concentrated on the characters personal "monsters" rather than just the "clown" I found much more interesting, and scary. Also, that it was a 'female' and it all went very 'Aleins' at one point with all the eggs etc... very cool, and unexpected. (were they all destroyed?... sequel....?) Though, not to sure about the 'Turtle' stuff, ha ha!
Anyway, as you can tell I loved it, and I'm certainly looking forward to reading many more 'King' titles goign forward!
