THIS BOOK DESTROYED ME. I am literally crying as I write this. THAT ENDING! I had heard it was emotional from other people, but I did not expect this! I also didn't realise how completely attached I was to the characters until that ending! I had previously read volumes 1-7, and today I reread them all and read 8 and 9, and it was an experience! I have never experienced anything quite like these graphic novels. Everything about them is amazing: the characters, their relationships, the world building, the sci-fi and fantasy elements, the plot line, the art work, the story telling, and more. I loved it all. I can not recommend this enough- although it is very explicit (both violence and nudity wise).
