Emergency Contact
by Anthony LeDonne, Lauren Layne
Everytime I read a Lauren Layne book I remember HOW MUCH I LOVE LAUREN LAYNE.
Her books are always so romantic and cute, and I love how they take place in NYC. I think this book seemed extra cute to me because it was co written by her husband Anthony LeDonne. I’d like to sign up for an annual holiday romance from them because this one was just too cute. It was funny, it handled a dicey subject elegantly, and it just felt real.
Katherine (grump), a lawyer is waiting on the call that will tell her she’s finally getting the promotion she’s waiting for. While going about her today, she’s in a minor accident and when the hospital reaches out to her emergency contact, she reunites with her ex-husband Tom. Tom who should be on his way back home to propose to his new girlfriend. There’s a bit of planes, trains and automobiles, situation as they try to go to Tom’s parents house, and I just loved the adventure.
Loved this one - and it’s a quick and easy holiday read!
